PR-123
Puerto Rico Highway 123 (PR-123) is a secondary highway that connects the city of Arecibo to the city of Ponce. It runs through the towns of Utuado and Adjuntas, before reaching Ponce. A parallel road is being built, PR-10, that is expected to take on most of the traffic currently using PR-123. Route description With a length of about , PR-123 begins in Ponce at PR-12 in Barrio Playa. Then, PR-123 enters the Ponce Historic Zone, where meets with some important highways as PR-14 and PR-1. After downtown, the highway climbs the mountains of the Cordillera Central north of Ponce to enter Adjuntas. Puerto Rico Highway 10
Puerto Rico Highway 10 (PR-10) is a major highway in Puerto Rico. The primary state road connects the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Ponce in the south coast to Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Arecibo in the north; it is also the shortest route between the two cities. Construction on the modern PR-10, a new highway, began in 1974. The highway is being built parallel to the old PR-10; that road is now signed Puerto Rico Highway 123, PR-123. Most of the new PR-10 is now complete, with an approximately stretch still remaining to be finished. In its current state it is a freeway only in the completed portions, which consists of over three-fourths of the highway. Magueyes
Magueyes is one of the 31 barrios of the municipality of Ponce, Puerto Rico. Together with Cerrillos, Machuelo Arriba, Maragüez, Montes Llanos, Portugués, Sabanetas, and Tibes, Magueyes is one of the municipality's eight interior barrios. The name of this barrio is of native Indian origin. It was created in 1831. History Magueyes is one of the oldest barrios in Ponce. It is home to Hacienda Buena Vista, dating from 1833. Puerto Rico Highway 14
Puerto Rico Highway 14 (PR-14) is a main highway connecting Ponce to Cayey, Puerto Rico. The road runs the same course as the historic Carretera Central. Puerto Rico Highway 12
Puerto Rico Highway 12 (PR-12), also called Avenida Malecón, and Avenida Santiago de los Caballeros, is a 6.4-kilometer, limited-access highway entirely located within the city limits of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and connecting Puerto Rico Highway 14 to the La Guancha area in Barrio Playa in Ponce. It is similar to a freeway but has one traffic light near its intersection with PR-14. In addition to its northern and southern terminus, the highway has four full interchange exits: PR-52, PR-2, PR-133/Calle Comercio, and Avenida Las Américas. Adjuntas () is a small mountainside town and municipality in Puerto Rico located in the central midwestern portion of the island on the Cordillera Central, north of Yauco, Guayanilla, and Peñuelas; southeast of Utuado; east of Lares and Yauco; and northwest of Ponce.
