Layyah () is a tehsil located in Layyah District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is administratively subdivided into 23 Union Councils, three of which form the tehsil and district capital Layyah. History The tehsil was created during British rule in India. At the 1891 census, the population was 113,451. This had risen to 122,578 in 1901, when the tehsil was part of Mianwali District. 2024 Punjab Provincial Election
Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of Punjab on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023, the results of the 2023 digital census were approved by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
