PGL Travel Ltd is a provider of school activity courses and summer camps for children in the United Kingdom. Along with NST (company), NST, European Study Tours and StudyLink it is a part of the HB Education group, owned by Midlothian Capital Partners. History PGL was established in 1957 by Peter Gordon Lawrence as PGL Voyages. In the 1960s and early 1970s, its market was young adults and based on three main activities – canoeing, sailing and pony trekking – with accommodation in tents. PGL moved into the school and group travel market and expanded in the 1980s, purchasing more properties, ranging from a mansion house in Perthshire to a converted farm in Oxfordshire. The Pampanga Giant Lanterns (shortened as PGL and also known as Pampanga Giant Lanterns – AMG3 Construction for sponsorship reasons) are a Filipino professional basketball team based in San Fernando, Pampanga. The team competes in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) as a member of the league's North Division. The team mainly plays its home games at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center. The Giant Lanterns are the first and only team in the MPBL to win two championships and to do so in back-to-back seasons ( 2023 and 2024). The Lanterns began play in the 2018–19 season as an expansion team, and were initially based in Angeles City before moving to San Fernando in 2022. The AMD Professional Gamers League (PGL), founded in 1997, was one of the first professional esports leagues. The PGL was run by Total Entertainment Network and was sponsored by AMD. The league was officially unveiled at a press conference at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on November 3, 1997, with Nolan Bushnell as league commissioner. It was sponsored by Microsoft, Nvidia, and Levi Strauss & Co. The organization raised over $1.2mil USD in sponsorship money. Persistent generalized lymphadenopathy (PGL) is enlarged, painless, non-tender lymph nodes occurring in a couple of different areas for more than three to six months for which no other reason can be found. To expand, the common site where PGL occurs is within the head and neck region; parotid gland alterations and nasopharyngeal lymphatic tissue enlargement are often frequent comorbidities of Persistent generalized lymphadenopathy. A paraganglioma is a rare neuroendocrine tumour, neuroendocrine neoplasm that may develop at various body sites (including the head, neck, thorax and abdomen). When the same type of tumor is found in the adrenal gland, they are referred to as a pheochromocytoma. They are rare tumors, with an overall estimated incidence of 1 in 300,000. There is no test that determines benign from malignant tumors; long-term follow-up is therefore recommended for all individuals with paraganglioma. Succinate dehydrogenase biquinonecytochrome b small subunit, mitochondrial (CybS), also known as succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit D (SDHD), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''SDHD'' gene.
