PBA Partylist
Puwersa ng Bayaning Atleta () also known as the PBA Partylist is a political organization which had partylist representation in the House of Representatives of the Philippines. It aims to represent the interest of Filipino sportspeople. History The PBA Partylist ran in the 2007 elections but failed to win a seat. In the 2010 elections, it was endorsed by professional boxer Manny Pacquiao who was also the organization's chair at the time. PBA spent the most among candidate partylists in that elections, although this was still within the spending limit of per registered voter or The organization managed to win a seat in the 2010 elections. Jericho Jonas "Koko" Bendigo Nograles (born April 23, 1981) is a Filipino congressman and official spokesperson for the Puwersa ng Bayang Atleta (PBA) Partylist. He is the Assistant Majority Leader of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. He is one of the 70 representatives who voted to deny the franchise renewal of ABS-CBN. Personal life Koko Nograles was born on April 23, 1981, in Davao City to Prospero Nograles, a lawyer who would later serve as Representative of Davao City's 1st district and House Speaker, and Rhodora Burgos Bendigo Nograles. Party-list representation in the House of Representatives of the Philippines refers to a system in which 20% of the House of Representatives is elected. While the House is predominantly elected by a plurality voting system, known as a first-past-the-post system, party-list representatives are elected by a type of party-list proportional representation. The 1987 Constitution of the Philippines created the party-list system.
