PARIS (Australian Musician)
Paris Forscutt, known by her stage name PARIS, and formerly Made in Paris, is an Australian musician, DJ, and music producer. Career Paris Forscutt was born in Pambula, New South Wales, and began producing music in 2012. Her first single ''The Taker'' was released on the Birmingham based record label Bloc Beatz Records in 2013. After releasing several EPs and one album as Made in Paris, in June 2022 she announced her stage name would now be PARIS. After her music gained popularity, Paris moved to Sydney where she is now based, and where she runs her record label Upon Access. She has performed at many Australian and international music festivals and venues. These have included Lost Paradise, Beyond The Valley, The Grass is Greener, Listen Out, and Splendour in the Grass. Pambula is a town in Bega Valley Shire on the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia south of Sydney via the Princes Highway. At the , Pambula had a population of 970 people. History The area was populated by the Thaua Aboriginal people, with shell middens dating back 3000 years. In 1797, the European voyager George Bass explored the area. Beyond the Valley (commonly known as BTV) is a multi-day music festival held annually at Barunah Plains Homestead in Hesse, Victoria, Australia over the New Year's Eve period. Listen Out
Listen Out is an annual Australian music festival held in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane since September 2013. In 2018, an inaugural alternative version of Listen Out, titled Listen In took place in South Australia and New Zealand. The standard festival is held from late September to early October. Each Listen Out concert is a one-day event attracting both domestic and international hip-hop, indie, and electronic musicians. Splendour In The Grass
Splendour in the Grass (commonly referred to as Splendour) is an annual Australian music festival held at the North Byron Parklands in Yelgun, New South Wales. Since its inauguration, the festival has also been held in various locations near Byron Bay, New South Wales, and Woodford, Queensland. History Splendour in the Grass was jointly created and promoted by the Village Sounds Agency and Secret Service music companies, and began in 2001 as a one-day gathering to cater for Australia's winter season (a period that had traditionally been associated with very few events of this nature).
