Volyn Oblast
Volyn Oblast ( uk, Воли́нська о́бласть, translit=Volýnsʹka óblastʹ; also referred to as Volyn or Lodomeria) is an oblast (province) in northwestern Ukraine. Its administrative centre is Lutsk. Liubeshiv ( uk, Любешів, pl, Lubieszów, be, Любяшоў, yi, ליבישויוו) is an urban-type settlement in Kamin-Kashyrskyi Raion of Volyn Oblast, in the historic region of the Polesia. It is an administrative seat of Liubeshiv settlement hromada. Population: History Lubieszów was first mentioned in 1484. It was a private town of Grand Duchy of Lithuania, later part of Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. After the Partitions of Poland it was annexed by Russia. Manevychi
Manevychi ( uk, Маневичі; pl, Maniewicze; german: Manewytschi; Yiddish: מנייביץ) is an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Manevychi Raion in Volyn Oblast in western Ukraine. Population: History The town originated from a railway station during the Kovel-Sarny railway construction in 1892. In 30 years of the twentieth century it grew rapidly due to the industrial development. In particular, this was based on a Belgian manufacturer of parquet factories Lachappelle. There were bakeries and small meat-processing plants, owned by Klimczuk family. There was also a small sawmill. The town was predominantly inhabited by Jews (approx. 50%) and Poles (approx. 30%). There were also Ukrainians, Germans and several families from Bessarabia. Kivertsi (, ) is a town in Volyn Oblast, Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Kivertsi urban hromada. Area in total - 848,200 ha. Population: Kivertsi is located in Ukraine and time zone Europe/Kyiv, 12 km northeast from the city of Lutsk, the regional center. The town has 3 artificial reservoirs (lake Molodizhne, with the area of 1.25 hectares, and two little lakes with an area of 1 ha each), the Prudnik River is passing through.
