Marina Vladimirovna Ovsyannikova (russian: Мари́на Влади́мировна Овся́нникова, ; (); born 19 June 1978) is a Russian journalist who was employed on the Channel One Russia TV channel. She worked for Russia's main evening newscast ''Vremya'' on Channel One since the beginning of the 2000s, later describing her role as "producing Kremlin propaganda". In 2022, she interrupted a broadcast of ''Vremya'' to protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which made international news headlines. She was arrested, held without access to her lawyer, fined 30,000 rubles (365 dollars at the time), and later released. As of early October 2022, she is wanted by the Russian justice system after escaping her pre-trial house arrest; her lawyer says that she fled to Europe. Oleg Vladimirovich Ovsyannikov (russian: Олег Владимирович Овсянников; born 23 January 1970) is a Russian former competitive ice dancer. With partner Anjelika Krylova, he is the 1998 Olympic silver medalist and two-time (1998, 1999) World champion. Career As a four-year-old, Ovsyannikov fell ill with pneumonia. After he recovered, doctors recommended to his parents that he enroll in some kind of sport, preferably in a fresh air environment. Initially a singles skater, he switched to ice dance at the age of 10. With Maria Orlova, he won the bronze medal at the 1988 World Junior Championships. He later formed a partnership with Elena Kustarova and won bronze medals at the 1992 Grand Prix International de Paris and the 1993 Nations Cup, as well as two medals at the Russian Nationals. Ksenia Ovsyannikova (born 5 April 1985) is a Russian world-champion wheelchair fencer and IWAS Wheelchair Executive Committee member. Life Ovsyannikova was born in 1985 in Moscow. Her family took her to Mozambique when her father was working in a hospital there. She took to a wheelchair as the result of a diving accident when she was sixteen years old. While she was still recovering from the accident she was offered the chance to take part in sport. She had not had sporting ambitions before the accident but she took to the wheelchair fencing offered by the coach. Her education was completed at Moscow State Social Humanitarian Institute where she gained a diploma in linguistics and a master's degree in international relations. Anastasiya Ovsyannikova (born 20 October 1988) is a Paralympian athlete from Russia competing mainly in category T36 sprint events. Athletics career Ovsyannikova competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where she won a gold medal as part of the women's T35-38 100m sprint relay. Filipp Vasilievich Ovsyannikov (Филипп Васильевич Овсянников; –) was the first Russian histologist and the founder of sturgeon breeding. Ovsyannikov graduated from the University of Dorpat in 1853. He worked in Claude Bernard's laboratory in 1860 and in Carl Ludwig's laboratory in 1869. He held the chair in physiology at the University of Kazan from 1858 to 1862 and the chair in anatomy at the University of Saint Petersburg from 1864 to 1886. In 1864, he established the Physiological Laboratory for the Petersburg Academy of Sciences. Ovsyannikov's laboratory was used for research by such young physiologists as Elias von Cyon and Ivan Pavlov. In 1869, Ovsyannikov pioneered artificial reproduction of sterlet.
