"Overrated" is a song by English singer Siobhán Donaghy, released as the lead single from her debut studio album '' Revolution in Me'' (2003). It was released two years after her controversial departure from girl group the Sugababes. "Overrated" was written by Donaghy, Cameron McVey and Paul Simm, and produced by McVey. ''Revolution in Me'' is the debut studio album by British musician Siobhán Donaghy, released on 29 September 2003 by London Records. It was her first solo album following her acrimonious departure from British girl group Sugababes. Donaghy departed the group amid reports of her being bullied by its other members. When she quit the Sugababes, the band was dropped by London Records, who decided to retain Donaghy's contract as a solo artist. Donaghy began promoting the album in early 2003 under the pseudonym Shanghai Nobody, an anagram of her name. Siobhán Emma Donaghy (born 14 June 1984) is a British singer and songwriter best known as a founding member of the girl group Sugababes. Donaghy left Sugababes in 2001 and released her debut solo album, '' Revolution in Me'', in 2003. Her second studio album, ''Ghosts'', was released in 2007 and met critical acclaim. In 2012, Donaghy and her former colleagues Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan confirmed their reunion. The original trio were not able to release music under the name Sugababes as it was still owned by the management company. They instead released music under the new name Mutya Keisha Siobhan, until they secured the legal rights to the Sugababes name again in 2019. Paul Simm
Paul Simm (born 20th century) is an English musician, composer and record producer, known for his work with Amy Winehouse, the Sugababes and Neneh Cherry. Biography Paul Simm began playing the piano aged five. He was mostly self-taught; by eleven he was performing regular gigs. He also took up trumpet and later, after being approached by David Hinds of Steel Pulse, played and arranged horns for Grammy Award-nominated album '' Victims''. At age twenty Simm – now London based and a full-time session musician – played alongside Carleen Anderson, Pops Staples, Mica Paris, Baby D, Charles & Eddie and MC Solar whilst simultaneously working as a studio sound engineer.
