Overman (film)
''Overman'' () is a 2015 South Korean film directed by Seo Eun-Young and starring Kim Jung-hyun and Chae Seo-jin. The film had its world premiere on October 2, 2015 at the Busan International Film Festival. Plot High school gymnast Do-hyun ( Kim Jung-hyun) is ordered to perform community service as a punishment for fighting. While serving as a library assistant, he meets Soo-hyun ( Chae Seo-jin), a schoolgirl who borrows a lot of books. Finding her attractive, he talks to her and they gradually grow closer. This love between a teenage boy and girl looks cheerful enough, but they are both suffering in their own way. Each of them face new choices. It's a teenage love story and coming-of-age film in which the bright and wholesome protagonists bring joy throughout. Kim Jung-hyun (actor, Born 1990)
Kim Jung-hyun (born April 5, 1990) is a South Korean actor. He is best known for his lead roles in popular television series ''School 2017'' (2017), ''Welcome to Waikiki'' (2018), and ''Time'' (2018). He gained international recognition by starring in the dramas ''Crash Landing on You'' (2019–20) and '' Mr. Queen'' (2020–21) which rank amongst the highest-rated Korean dramas in cable television history. Early life Kim was born in Busan in South Korea. He majored in acting at the Korea National University of Arts. Chae Seo-jin (born 30 April 1994) is a South Korean actress. She started her career as a young actress in ''Over the Rainbow'' (2006). She is known to be Kim Ok-vin's sister. In May 2016, Chae decided to use Chae Seo-jin as her stage name instead of her birth name, Kim Go-un. Busan International Film Festival
The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF, previously Pusan International Film Festival, PIFF), held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan (''also'' Pusan), South Korea, is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The first festival, held from 13 to 21 September 1996, was also the first international film festival in Korea. The main focus of the BIFF is to introduce new films and first-time directors, especially those from Asian countries. Another notable feature is the appeal of the festival to young people, both in terms of the large youthful audience it attracts and through its efforts to develop and promote young talent. Korean Film Council
The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) () is a state-supported, self-administered organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) of the Republic of Korea. History KOFIC was launched in 1973 as the Korean Motion Picture Promotion Corporation (KMPPC). It changed its name to Korean Film Commission in 1999, to be set up as a self-regulating body that could institute film policy without requiring the ratification of the Ministry of Culture. It changed its name once more to Korean Film Council in 2004 to avoid confusion with local film commissions that provide support for location shooting.
