Over Horizon
is a 1991 horizontally scrolling shooter co-developed by Pixel and Hot B, published in Japan by Hot B and in Germany by Takara for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Controlling a space fighter craft, the player must destroy numerous enemies to defeat an alien threat intending to dominate the universe. ''Over Horizon'' was conceived as a "create your own shoot 'em up" game during a proposal with Pixel to re-use their engine from ''Dungeon Kid'' before being reworked into a standard shooter and Hot B took over development of the project, with ''Steel Empire'' co-director Yoshinori Satake at the helm overseeing the process. Takara
Takara Co., Ltd. (株式会社タカラ) was a Japanese toy company founded in 1955. In March 2006, the company merged with Tomy Co., Ltd. to form Takara Tomy. The Takara motto was 遊びは文化」("playing is culture"). Products Toys In 1967, Takara produced the first generation of the Licca-chan doll, which was 21 centimeters tall and had the last name of Kayama, inspired by the musician Yuzo Kayama and actress Yoshiko Kayama. In 1975, Takara produced the Diaclone and Microman Micro Change toys. In 1984, the toy line was rebranded by Hasbro as " Transformers", which made Takara waste no time joining in. Gradius II
''Gradius II'' (also known as ''Vulcan Venture'' in arcades outside Japan) is a side-scrolling shooter game. Originally released for the arcades in Japan in 1988, it is the sequel to original ''Gradius'' and was succeeded by ''Gradius III''. Ports of ''Gradius II'' were released for the Family Computer (under the shortened title of ''Gradius II''), PC-Engine Super CD-ROM², and the X68000 in Japan.
