Ov Sulfur
Ov Sulfur is an American deathcore band formed in 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band's lineup currently consists of vocalist Ricky Hoover, guitarist and vocalist Chase Wilson, guitarist Christian Becker, bassist Josh Bearden and drummer Levi "Leviathvn" Xul. The band has released only one studio album titled ''The Burden Ov Faith'', which was released on March 24, 2023 through Century Media Records and one EP. The band is known for their very anti-religious lyrical themes. History After Ricky Hoover left Suffokate in May 2012, he would start a career of barbering. Due to problems that Hoover was suffering from such as the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown and toxic relationships, he decided to return to music and formed Ov Sulfur in 2020. In early and mid 2021, the band released its first three singles titled "Behind the Hand of God", "Bathe in the Flame" and "Oblivion". Slaughter to Prevail is a Russian deathcore band formed in 2014 in Yekaterinburg and currently based in Orlando, Florida. The band has had numerous line-up changes over the years, with Russian musician Alex Terrible (lead vocals) and British musician Jack Simmons (lead guitar) as the only constant members. The current line-up features Russian musicians Dmitry Mamedov (rhythm guitar), Mike Petrov (bass), and Evgeny Novikov (drums). The band debuted with the EP ''Chapters of Misery'' in 2015, followed by the full-length album ''Misery Sermon'' in 2017. Their second album, ''Kostolom'', was released in 2021. Howard Jones (born July 20, 1970) is an American heavy metal and metalcore vocalist best known as the former lead singer of Killswitch Engage and Blood Has Been Shed. He is the current vocalist of Light the Torch, formerly known as Devil You Know, and SION with YouTuber/guitarist Jared Dines. Jones' vocal performances have been described as "emotive and strident", and he has been referred to as "one of metalcore's finest singers". Career Jones started making music in the underground band Driven in 1996, releasing a single album. He later performed with Blood Has Been Shed from 1997 to 2004. In 2002, he joined Killswitch Engage as their new vocalist after Jesse Leach left the band.
