Outtrigger (band)
Outtrigger was a Swedish metal group from Helsingborg established by Timmy Andersson and Simon Peyron in 2009 when they were classmates. In 2010, three other members joined in, Joakim Agnemyr, Adam Axelsson and John Lofgren, making it a 5-piece band. Originally lead vocals was Oliver Buvac, until he left and lead vocals was taken over by co-founder Simon Peyron. The band played live concerts and in 2012 came second in the music competition Rockkarusellen and again second in 2013 in Popkorn, Skåne's largest music competition. The band's breakthrough came with a metal cover of Robin Stjernberg's song "You" the day after the song won the Melodifestivalen 2013. In November 2013, it was announced that Outtriger was taking part in Melodifestivalen 2014 in a bid to represent Sweden in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen 2014 was the Swedish music competition which selected Sweden's 54th entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. Sanna Nielsen won the competition with the song "Undo". This was one of the closest results in Melodifestivalen history, as Nielsen beat her nearest rival, Ace Wilder, by only two points. For the thirteenth consecutive year the competition consisted of four heats, a "Second Chance" round, and a final. A total of 32 entries were divided into four heats, with eight compositions in each. From each semifinal, the songs that won first and second place went directly to the final, while the songs that placed third and fourth proceeded to the Second Chance heat. The bottom four songs in each semifinal were eliminated from the competition. Elena Paparizou
Helena Paparizou (; , ; born 31 January 1962) is a Swedish-born Greek singer, songwriter and television personality. Born and raised in Sweden to Greek parents, she enrolled in various arts schools before launching a career in Sweden in 1999 as a member of the laïko (Greek folk music) and Eurodance duo Antique, who participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 and afterwards became popular. The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 was the 59th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, following the country's victory at the with the song "Only Teardrops" by Emmelie de Forest. "You" is a pop song released in 2013 by the Swedish singer Robin Stjernberg. The song won Melodifestivalen 2013 on 9 March that year, and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden, placing 14th in a field of 26 in the Finals held on 18 May 2013. Robin James Olof Stjernberg (; born 22 February 1991, Hässleholm, Sweden) is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter and producer. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 on home soil on 18 May 2013 with the song "You". Stjernberg started his career in the boyband What's Up!, and became a contestant in Idol 2011, placing as first runner up in the final. He participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2017 as the songwriter for the song "I Can't Go On" performed by Robin Bengtsson, which ended up in fifth place. Career In band What's Up!
