Outer Peace
''Outer Peace'' is the sixth studio album by American musician Toro y Moi, released on January 18, 2019, through Carpark Records. The tracks "Freelance" and "Ordinary Pleasure" were released prior to the album. On January 10, the album became available to stream in full via NPR's website. Background Chaz Bear stated that the album came about after he decided not to tour for his previous record, 2017's ''Boo Boo (album), Boo Boo''. He instead played DJ sets, later explaining that "The [club] nightlife energy is way different than the concert type of nightlife energy. This next album for Toro is a lot more inspired by bigger club sounds." Along with the "accessible dance music" of Daft Punk, Bear was inspired by Wally Badarou's "innovative synths" and trips to Mexico City and Northern California while making the album. Aidan Peterson, professionally known as Instupendo, is an American music producer, composer and recording artist working primarily in electronic, experimental pop, art pop, electro pop and ambient genres. Raised in Philadelphia, he began his music career releasing tracks on SoundCloud, including the singles "Six Forty Seven" and "Long Live." Wet is an American indie pop group from Brooklyn, New York. The band's first two albums—the 2013 self-titled EP and 2016 '' Don't You''—are credited to Kelly Zutrau, Joe Valle, and Marty Sulkow. In March 2018, Wet released a single, "There's a Reason", as a duo of Zutrau and Valle. Signed to Columbia Records, Wet was named the most promising group in music by ''The Fader'' in 2015. History Members Kelly Zutrau, Joe Valle, and Marty Sulkow met in New York through mutual friends while Sulkow and Valle were attending New York University and Zutrau was a student at Cooper Union. She is currently signed to Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records, and was formerly signed to Awful Records. Early life and education Abra was born in Queens, New York to missionary parents from Guyana and Haiti. Auto-Tune is audio processor software released on September 19, 1997, by the American company Antares Audio Technologies. It uses a proprietary device to measure and Pitch correction, correct pitch in music. It operates on different principles from the vocoder or talk box and produces different results. Auto-Tune was initially intended to disguise or pitch correction, correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly musical tuning, tuned.
