Outburst (comics)
The Supermen of America is the name of two fictional superhero teams published by DC Comics. The original group first appeared in a special written by Stuart Immonen published in 1999, and a later mini-series written by Fabian Nicieza, which was published in 2000. The second group debuted in ''Superman (comic book), Superman'' #714 in 2011. The Supermen of America appear in the second season of the television series ''Superman & Lois''. Outburst (subtitled ''The Game of Verbal Explosions!'') is a trivia party game designed by Brian Hersch and first published in 1986. Two teams compete over multiple rounds to reach 60 points by guessing items listed on a Topic Card within a time limit. Publication history ''Outburst'' was originally created in 1986 by Brian Hersch and published by his Los Angeles game company Hersch and Company. In an interview for '' The Game Inventor's Guidebook,'' Hersch claimed the idea for the game came to him while listening to a historical radio program on the drive to a dinner party. ''Outburst'' was later licensed by Parker Brothers, now a division of Hasbro. From 2004–2015, it was produced by Mattel before being licensed back to Hasbro in 2016. An outburst is the sudden and violent ejection of coal, rock, and gas from a coal face and surrounding strata in an underground coal mine. Outbursts can be a very serious events, possibly even resulting in fatalities. Effects of outbursts Outbursts may range in severity from being barely noticeable, to causing the destruction of an entire mining panel, and throwing pieces of machinery weighing tens of tonnes several metres. An outburst at Tahmoor Colliery, in New South Wales, Australia, in June 1985 ejected 350 tonnes of coal and rock and over 3000 cubic metres of gas, killing one miner. An outburst at the nearby South Bulli Colliery in 1991 killed three miners. An outburst at Westcliff Colliery in January 1994 ejected 300 tonnes of coal and rock and killed one miner. Tantrum
A tantrum, angry outburst, temper tantrum, lash out, meltdown, fit, or hissy fit is an emotional outburst, usually associated with those in emotional distress. It is typically characterized by stubbornness, crying, screaming, violence, defiance, angry ranting, a resistance to attempts at pacification, and in some cases, hitting and other physically violent behavior.
