Out Of The Box (Jade Valerie Album)
''Out Of The Box'' the title of the debut mini-album released by Jade Valerie. It was released on October 17, 2007 as two versions, a CD only and a CD + DVD version, and later on, was released in Korea in a new edition. The Korean edition parted with 'Goodbye' and 'Mr. Pay Me' from the original release, with the addition of highlight tracks from Jade's following album, ''Bittersweet Symphony''. The album saw a combination of new influences by Jade, mostly centering on modern musical trends. 'Crush', featuring guest vocalist Baek Ji-young on the Korean release, and sampled a classical piece in the style of Sweetbox, while many tracks showcased Jade Valerie experimenting with new vocal and musical styles. Jade Valerie
Jade Valerie Villalon (born August 12, 1980), also known by her project and stage name Jade Valerie, is an American pop singer, songwriter, and actress. From 1999 to 2007, she was the vocalist and lyricist of Sweetbox, releasing five original albums and a number of compilations. During this time, each major release achieved either a gold or platinum status in Japan and Korea, also earning various awards and chart positions around the world. Following Villalon's departure from this project, both Villalon and Sweetbox composer and producer Rosan Geoman worked together once again to release albums under Villalon's own name, Jade Valerie. ''Bittersweet Symphony'' is the seventh album by Jade Valerie formerly of the band Sweetbox, and the second under her new stage name, Jade Valerie. It was released March 5, 2008 by Universal (Japan). The album contained many ballad influences, and only two tracks contained famous classical pieces. The album also saw a departure from the widely varied sounds Jade has become known for, this time opting for many of the tracks to showcase a typical pop, dance, or ballad sound. Baek Ji-young (; born March 25, 1976), sometimes Anglicisation of names, anglicized as Baek Z Young, is a South Korean singer. She made her debut in 1999, with the release of her album ''Sorrow''. Sweetbox is a German-based pop music project formed in 1995 by executive producer Heiko Schmidt and music producer Roberto "Geo" Rosan. Throughout the years Sweetbox has had several lead singers including Kimberly Kearney, Dacia Bridges, Tina Harris, Jade Villalon, Jamie Pineda, Miho Fukuhara, LogiQ Pryce, and Saint Viv. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016.
