Edward Sedgwick, Jr. (November 7, 1889 – May 7, 1953) was an American film director, screenwriter, writer, actor and film producer, producer. Early life He was born in Galveston, Texas, the son of Edward Sedgwick, Sr. and Josephine Walker, both stage actors. At the age of four, young Edward Sedgwick joined his show business family in what was then the Sedgwick Comedy Company, a vaudeville act, doing a "singing speciality". He played child parts and did vaudeville acts until he was seven, when he was given his first comedy part, that of an Irish immigrant, in a comedy written by his father called ''Just Over''. Biography He was born in Cameron, Missouri on June 21, 1871, to Georgia S. and Oliver A. Jennings. In 1935, Jennings played Sailing Master Fryer in ''Mutiny on the Bounty'' with Clark Gable and Charles Laughton. He died in Hollywood, California on March 1, 1937. Jay Morley (July 14, 1890 – November 9, 1976), was an American actor, active in silent films. Career Morley began his acting career in a traveling vaudeville act and performed in dramas with stock theater companies for five years. He had success in silent films, but retired at the beginning of the sound era to serve as sheriff of Malibu. He returned to films and television in the early 1950s. Freeman Wood (July 1, 1896 – February 15, 1956) was an American character actor of the Silent film, silent and sound film, sound film eras. Biography Born in 1896 in Denver, Colorado, Wood would appear in his first film in 1919, ''The Adventure Shop''. Early in his career he would have larger roles, often as the rival love interest to the main character, but his roles would get smaller and smaller as time went on. By 1933 he was relegated to what amounted to as bit parts, with his character often being unnamed. Over his 25-year career he would appear in over 60 films, the last of which was in a small role in 1944's ''Once Upon a Time (1944 film), Once Upon a Time'', starring Cary Grant, Janet Blair, and James Gleason.
