Our Jesus Story
''Our Jesus Story'', is a 2020 Nigerian religious drama film directed by Tchidi Chikere and produced by Ojiofor Ezeanyaeche for O.J Production. The film stars Frederick Leonard in the lead role as Jesus the Christ, whereas Zack Orji, Sam Dede, Eucharia Anunobi and Adjetey Anang made supportive roles. This is the first biblical African new interpretation for the Jesus the Christ story with an all-black African cast and crew. The film made its premier on 27 March 2020 in Imax Cinema in Lekki, Lagos. The film received positive reviews from critics. Tchidi Chikere (born 10 October 1975) is a Nigerian film director, producer, scriptwriter, actor, music video director and singer. He has over 100 films and two music albums to his credit. Background and early life Chikere is from Amuzi, Ahiazu Mbaise in Imo State. He is the youngest child of his parents. He studied English Language at the University of Calabar. While in the university he began writing movie scripts and was also part of a three-man music group. On completion of his National Youth Service, he travelled to the UK, and published his first book while there. Chikere went fully into the film industry after graduating from the University. Frederick Nnaemeka Leonard, (born May 1, 1976) is a Nigerian actor who won the award for ''Best Supporting Actor'' in a movie at the '' Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards in 2014'' and in 2016 won the ''City People Movie Award For Best Supporting Actor of the Year (English)'' at the City People Entertainment Awards.
