Early life and education August Rei was born in Kurla, Estonia, Kurla, Pilistvere parish, Kreis Fellin, Governorate of Livonia, Russian Empire (now Türi Parish, Järva County). Rei studied in the Tartu Emperor Alexander High School (the former State High School of the Livonian Governorate), but graduated from the Novgorod State High School. Hugo Osvald Pärtelpoeg (7 February 1899 in , Tartu County – 29 April 1951 in Irkutsk Oblast) was an Estonian lawyer and politician. From 18 September 1944 to 22 September 1944, he was Minister of Finance in Otto Tief's cabinet. On 3 July 1945, the Military Chamber of the Supreme Court of the USSR sentenced Hugo Pärtelpoeg to eight years in a forced labor camp (Gulag The Gulag, an acronym for , , "chief administration of the camps". Johannes Klesment
Johannes Klesment (also Johannes Kleesment; 30 May 1896 Keila Parish (now Keila), Kreis Harrien – 23 December 1967 Washington, D.C.) was an Estonian politician. He was a member of the III Riigikogu, third and IV Riigikogu, fourth legislatures of the Estonian Parliament, representing the Estonian Socialist Workers' Party. Klesment served as Ministry of Justice (Estonia), minister of justice in the Estonian government-in-exile from 1945 to 1953. In the 1950s, Klesment also served as the editor of ''The Baltic Review'', a journal published in New York by the Committees for a Free Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania from 1953 to 1971. References

Arnold Susi
Arnold Susi (; 4 January 1896 – 29 May 1968) was a lawyer and the Minister of Education in the Estonian government of Otto Tief established on 18 September 1944 during WWII. In 1945, Susi befriended Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in a Soviet prison. In the 1960s, when writing '' The Gulag Archipelago'' Solzhenitsyn hid at Susi's country house in Estonia. Solzhenitsyn also briefly describes his meeting with Arnold Susi in that book. Susi also wrote his memoirs of World War I in ''Doom of the Russian Empire'' (in Estonian: ''Vene impeeriumi hukk''), which he wrote while in Abakan. He died in Tallinn, aged 72.
