''Otpisani'' (Serbian Cyrillic: Отписани, ) is a Yugoslav drama TV series, produced by Radio Television Belgrade and first aired in 1974. The series follows the lives of young partisans during the Second World War in occupied Belgrade. It is based the book ''Zabranjeni život'' () by Dragan Marković. A film of the same title, which follows the plotline of the first two episodes, was also shot in 1974. Due to the series' popularity, a sequel titled '' Povratak otpisanih'' () was released in 1978. Due to its popularity, Radio Television of Serbia has shown reruns of the series eleven times. The series has a cult status among its audience in ex-Yugoslav countries and has attracted an estimated 3 million viewers with its last rerun. A digital remaster of the series premiered on RTS on 29 August 2024, on the series' 50th anniversary. ''Povratak otpisanih'' (Serbian Cyrillic: Повратак отписаних, ) is a 1978 Yugoslav TV series, sequel of the 1974 TV series ''Otpisani''. ''Povratak otpisanih'' continues the storyline from the first part, following the underground group of Belgrade resistance fighters led by Tihi ( Voja Brajović) and Prle (Dragan Nikolić). It was filmed between 1976 and 1977 and first broadcast on 1 January 1978. Like its predecessor ''Otpisani'', it had 13 episodes that were subsequently remastered into a feature film. Both series were directed by . and Gordan Mihić wrote the script for the sequel, Mihić replacing who worked on the first part. Dragoslav "Dragan" Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Драгослав Драган Николић, ; 20 August 1943 – 11 March 2016) was a Serbian and Yugoslav actor. Nikolić studied at Dramatic Arts Academy in Belgrade. Vojislav "Voja" Brajović ( sr-Cyrl, Војислав "Воја" Брајовић; born 11 May 1949) is a Serbian actor. Career Brajović graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Drama Arts in 1971. He was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, then part of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. His family were Slovene immigrants from the Slovenian Littoral, which was under Kingdom of Italy (1861–1946), Italian administration. His father was from the village of Volčji Grad near Komen in the Karst Plateau, Karst region, while his mother came from the Slovene community in Trieste (now in Italy). Predrag "Miki" Manojlović ( sr-cyr, Предраг "Мики" Манојловић; born 5 April 1950) is a Serbian actor, famous for his starring roles in some of the most important films of Yugoslav cinema. The League of Socialist Youth of Yugoslavia (SSOJ) was the youth movement, member organisation of the Socialist Alliance of Working People of Yugoslavia (SSRNJ).
