Oskar Edøy
Oskar Edøy (30 August 1916 – 5 April 2008 in Edøy Municipality) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Møre og Romsdal in 1973, and was re-elected on three occasions. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the terms 1961–1965, 1965–1969 and 1969–1973 and 1973–1977. From March 1971 to October 1972 he served as a regular representative meanwhile Alv Fostervoll was appointed to the first cabinet Bratteli. From June 1973 to October 1973 he filled in for Peter Kjeldseth Moe who had died. From October 1973 to 1976 he again replaced Fostervoll. Edøy Municipality
Edøy is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1960. It was located in the southern and central parts of the present-day Smøla Municipality. The old municipality originally encompassed all the islands surrounding the Edøyfjorden. This included the islands of Smøla, Tustna, Stabblandet, and the many smaller islands between the larger ones. The island of Edøya lies between the two and that was the center of the old municipality. Over time, parts of Edøy were split off to form other municipalities. At the time it was dissolved, Edøy Municipality was . The Old Edøy Church and later the (new) Edøy Church were the main churches for the municipality. The Storting ( ; ) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. Møre Og Romsdal (Storting Constituency)
Møre og Romsdal is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established as Møre in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. It was renamed Møre og Romsdal from 1935. It is conterminous with the county of Møre og Romsdal. The constituency currently elects seven of the 169 members of the Storting using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. Alv Fostervoll
Alv Jakob Fostervoll (20 January 1932 – 15 June 2015) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He served as Norwegian Minister of Defence and Governor of Møre og Romsdal. Biography Fostervoll was born at Kristiansund in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He attended the teachers college in Volda and worked as a school teacher prior to entering politics. He held various political position in the municipal council for Kristiansund Municipality from 1959 to 1969, serving as deputy mayor in the period 1967–1969. From 1967 to 1969 he was also a member of Møre og Romsdal county council. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Møre og Romsdal in 1969, and was re-elected on one occasion. Peter Kjeldseth Moe
Peter Kjeldseth Moe (18 May 1909 – 30 June 1973) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Møre og Romsdal in 1958, and was re-elected on three occasions. He previously served as a deputy representative in the period 1954–1957. During this term he served temporarily as a regular representative meanwhile Ulrik Olsen were appointed to the Cabinet, until July 1956 when the death of Anton Ludvik Alvestad meant that Moe was to be considered a full representative. Olsen was instead covered by another former deputy representative Arnfinn Severin Roald. Peter Kjeldseth Moe died in 1973 shortly before the end of his last term, and was replaced by Oskar Edøy.
