Oscar Ruggeri
Oscar Alfredo Ruggeri (born 26 January 1962) is an Argentine former professional association football, footballer who played as centre-back. Nicknamed ''El Cabezón'' ("The Big-head One"), Ruggeri achieved success at the international level with the Argentina national football team, Argentina national team, being part of the teams that won the 1986 FIFA World Cup, two editions of the Copa América and the 1992 FIFA Confederations Cup. Corral De Bustos
Corral de Bustos is a town in Argentina located in the district of Marcos Juárez, in the south east of the Province of Córdoba Province (Argentina), Córdoba. History The town of Corral de Bustos-Ifflinger was founded in the early Twentieth Century, when the German Carlos Von Ifflinger requested permission from the Government of the Province of Cordoba to establish a town that would carry on his surname. The government granted the permit on 14 November 1901 and this is now regarded as the founding date of the city, which originally only covered what is now Barrio Ifflinger. FIFA Confederations Cup
The FIFA Confederations Cup was an international association football tournament for men's national teams, held every four years by FIFA. It was contested by the holders of each of the six continental championships ( AFC, CAF, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA), along with the current FIFA World Cup holder and the host nation, to bring the number of teams up to eight. Between 2001 and 2017 (with an exception in 2003), the tournament was held in the country that would host the World Cup the following year, acting as a test event for the larger tournament. 1989 Copa América
The 1989 Copa América football tournament was hosted by Brazil, from 1 to 16 July. All ten CONMEBOL member nations participated. Brazil won their fourth Copa América, and first since 1949, by beating Uruguay 1–0 in the final match at the Estádio do Maracanã. This achievement ended a 19-year streak without official titles for the Brazilians. The last one had been in the 1970 World Cup. The final match between Brazil and Uruguay on Maracanã Stadium also marks exactly 39 years, on another 16 July since the FIFA World Cup 1950 Final.
