Oscar Rizzato
Oscar Rizzato (28 February 1928 – 11 January 2021) was an Italian Catholic titular bishop. Biography Rizzato was born in San Giorgio delle Pertiche, Italy and was ordained to the priesthood in 1954. He was created titular bishop of ''Virunum'' and served as Papal Almoner to the Pope. A titular bishop in various churches is a bishop who is not in charge of a diocese. By definition, a bishop is an "overseer" of a community of the faithful, so when a priest is ordained a bishop, the tradition of the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox churches is that he be ordained for a specific place.
