Ormarr Örlygsson (born 24 November 1962) is an Icelandic former footballer who played as a defender. Club career Ormarr played the majority of his career at hometown club KA Akureyri and had a four-year spell at Fram Reykjavík. International career He made his debut for Iceland in a March 1983 friendly match against Bahrain and went on to win 9 caps, scoring no goals. His final international was an April 1992 friendly match against Israel. Personal life He is the older brother of former international player and Nottingham Forest winger Þorvaldur Örlygsson. Íslandsbanki is an Icelandic bank with roots tracing back to 1875, formerly being the domestic part of Glitnir banki hf., but on 15 October 2008 being split from the bankrupt Glitnir and reestablished into a new independent bank. Egilsstaðir () is a town in east Iceland on the banks of the Lagarfljót river. Reyðarfjörður () is a town in Iceland. It has a population of 1,350 and is one of the most populated villages that constitute the municipality of Fjarðabyggð. History The town is at the bottom of the eponymous fjord, the largest on the east coast of Iceland. Like most other towns in the East Fjords, it is surrounded by mountains, of which the highest is about . Although the climate is particularly rainy and foggy, on clear summer days it often has the highest temperatures in Iceland. From the early 20th century, Reyðarfjörður was a trading port, as well as a fishing port. Þorvaldur Örlygsson
Þorvaldur "Toddy" Örlygsson (born 2 August 1966) is an Icelandic former footballer who played as a midfielder. After retiring, he has worked as a manager, with his most recent side being Icelandic club Keflavík. He is the younger brother of former international player Ormarr Örlygsson. Þorvaldur started at Knattspyrnufélag Akureyrar and played most of his career in England, first in the Premier League for Nottingham Forest and later for First Division clubs Stoke City and Oldham Athletic before returning to Iceland. Career "Toddy" arrived at Nottingham Forest in December 1989 for a fee of £175,000 from KA Akureyri after impressing Brian Clough. Þorvaldur took a while to make an impact and it wasn't until 1992 that he established himself in Forest's line-up.
