Origo (website)
Origo (stylised as ORIGO, previously as [origo]) is a major Hungarian language, Hungarian-language news website founded in 1998 by telecommunications company Magyar Telekom, MATÁV. In 2018, Origo was the third most visited Hungarian website. Since 2015, Origo has been regularly criticised for several reasons, such as their proclivity for publishing softcore pornography openly and on the front page (often objectifying women in the process), its uncritical support of the Fidesz political party and regularly spreading fake news. Some critics describe the website as "state-run propaganda". iWiW (abbreviation for International Who is Who) was a Hungarian social networking web service which started on 14 April 2002 as WiW (Who Is Who). , it had 2.6 million registered users with real names. Every user could provide personal information such as the place they live, date of birth, schools and universities they attended, workplaces, interests and pets.
