The Voyager Space Station or Voyager Station (previously the Von Braun Station) is a proposed rotating wheel space station, planned to start construction in 2026. The space station aims to be the first commercial space hotel. It is proposed that the SpaceX Starship could be used to shuttle space tourism, space tourists to the Voyager Station, which would accommodate 280 guests and 112 crew members. Rotating Wheel Space Station
A rotating wheel space station, also known as a von Braun wheel, is a concept for a hypothetical wheel-shaped space station. Originally proposed by Herman Potočnik in 1929, and popularized by Wernher von Braun in 1952. Space tourism is human space travel for recreational purposes. There are several different types of space tourism, including orbital, suborbital and lunar space tourism. Tourists are motivated by the possibility of viewing Earth from space, feeling weightlessness, experiencing extremely high speed and something unusual, and contributing to science. Artificial Gravity
Artificial gravity is the creation of an inertial force that mimics the effects of a gravitational force, usually by rotation. Artificial gravity, or rotational gravity, is thus the appearance of a centrifugal force in a rotating frame of reference (the transmission of centripetal acceleration via normal force in the non-rotating frame of reference), as opposed to the force experienced in linear acceleration, which by the equivalence principle is indistinguishable from gravity. In a more general sense, "artificial gravity" may also refer to the effect of linear acceleration, e.g. by means of a rocket engine. Gateway Spaceport
Gateway Spaceport was formed in 2012 to build the first rotating spaceport and space hotel. On January 1, 2022, Gateway Foundation's name was changed to Gateway Spaceport LLC.
