''Orange News'' () is a Hong Kong-based news website established in 2014. The site is owned by Sino United Publishing and funded by the Hong Kong Liaison Office, with its editorial stance generally regarded as pro-Beijing. History ''Orange News'' was established by Sino United Publishing under its subsidiary, Cloud Connect Technology ( zh, t=雲通科技), in December 2014, targeting both residents of the Greater Bay Area and the Hong Kong diaspora. Pro-Beijing Camp (Hong Kong)
The pro-Beijing camp, pro-establishment camp or pro-China camp is a political alignment in Hong Kong which generally supports the policies of the Beijing central government and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) towards Hong Kong. The term "pro-establishment camp" is regularly in use to label the broader segment of the Hong Kong political arena which has the closer relationship with the establishment, namely the governments of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Pro-Beijing politicians are labeled "patriots" by pro-Beijing media and "loyalists" by the rival pro-democracy camp. The pro-Beijing camp evolved from Hong Kong's pro-CCP faction, often called "Leftists", which acted under the direction of the CCP. Chung Pui-kuen
Chung Pui-kuen (, born 1969) is a Hong Kong journalist. A former chief editor of Stand News, a defunct Hong Kong online media outlet, Chung was convicted of sedition in 2024, the first since the city was handed over to China in 1997. Career Chung read politics and public administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was also part of the student union leadership and edited the school newspaper. After graduated in 1991, he joined Confederation of Trade Unions, the newly founded labour group, as an executive. Chung became a journalist in 1995, working in Ming Pao and later Hong Kong Economic Times as a financial reporter. In 2012 Chung entered House News, a pro-democracy online media outlet, as the editor-in-chief until it shut down two years later. The Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is a national law of China on Hong Kong national security passed in 2020.
