Operation Sadejstvo
Operation Sadejstvo 93 is the code name for the operation of the Army of Republika Srpska in the summer of 1993, in Bosanska Posavina. The operation is also known as the battle for the "Strujni Corridor". Prelude Since the stable and adequate electricity supply of Bosnian Krajina was threatened due to the state of war, the VRS decided to expand the corridor near Brčko in order to include and repair the electric line that passed through the villages of Brod, Donja Brka, Kolonija, Lipovac, Đukići and Bajići. In the operation, the VRS engaged units of the 1st Krajina Corps and the East Bosnian Corps, divided into two tactical groups. Bosanska Posavina
Posavina ( sr-cyr, Посавина) is a geographical region that stretches along the Sava river, encompassing only the inner areas of the Sava river basin, that are adjacent or near to the Sava river itself, namely catch region spanning from the Julian Alps in the northwest to the confluence with the Danube in the southeast. It passes through several countries of former Yugoslavia, namely Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. In Slovene, the term Posavina is not used to describe the parts of Slovenia that lie by the Sava river. Instead, the terms Posavje, Zasavje and Zgornjesavska dolina are used (however, the parts of Slovenia between Litija and Bled, as well as Bohinj, are generally not defined by their proximity to the Sava river in Slovenian geographical nomenclature). The 16th Krajina Motorized Brigade (Serbian: ''16. Крајишка моторизована бригада''; ''16. Krajiška motorizovana brigada)'' was a motorized unit based in Banja Luka part of the 1st Krajina Corps of the Army of Republika Srpska. History The 16th Krajina Brigade was the successor of the Krajina Strike Proletarian Brigade (Serbian: ''Крајишка ударна пролетерска бригада''; ), established in 1942 by Yugoslav Partisans in the village of Lamovita near Prijedor, Bosnia. After the second world war the brigade was re-established in Travnik and later moved to Banja Luka as the 16th Regiment. In 1985 the 16th Krajina Regiment was renamed 16th Krajina Brigade. The Croatian Defence Council (, HVO) was the armed wing of the self-proclaimed Croatian Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia, a breakaway entity unrecognised by the international community and accused of ethnic-based violence during the conflict. It existed in the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1991 and 1996. The HVO was the main military force of the Croats of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
