Opera Gallery is a modern and contemporary art gallery presenting work by established and emerging artists of the 20th and 21st centuries at 16 locations. Founded in Paris in 1994 by Gilles Dyan, Opera Gallery now has sixteen exhibition spaces in New York, Miami, Bal Harbour, Madrid, Aspen, London, Paris, Monaco, Geneva (two spaces), Dubai (two spaces), Beirut, Hong Kong, Singapore and Seoul. A contemporary art gallery is normally a commercial art gallery operated by an art dealer which specializes in displaying for sale contemporary art, usually new works of art by living artists. Lita Cabellut
Lita Cabellut (born 1961) is a Spaniards, Spanish multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in The Hague, The Hague, Netherlands. Cabellut works on large scale canvases using a contemporary variation of the fresco technique. Early life and education Lita Cabellut was born in 1961 in Sariñena, a village in Aragon, Spain. She moved to Barcelona as a child, where her mother ran a brothel. She was left under the care of her grandmother but spent most of her days on the streets selling "imaginary stars". When her grandmother died, Cabellut went to live in an orphanage. At the age of twelve she was adopted by a Catalan family. Umberto Mariani
Umberto Mariani (Milan, 16 November 1936) is an Italian artist and painter. Biography Son of Ugo and Jole Nizzoli, accounting clerks who represent the typical petty bourgeoisie between the two world wars, Umberto Mariani grew up within a family environment that was however permeated by strong ideals. This is highlighted by his father's active participation in the anti-fascist struggle. In 1943-1944, their home in Milan served as a refuge for groups of persecuted Jews, protected and helped by the clandestine organization headed by Fernanda Wittgens. The experience of war leaves significant marks on the very young Mariani's spirit. David Mach
David Mach (born 18 March 1956) is a Scottish sculptor and installation artist. His artistic style is based on flowing assemblages of mass-produced objects. Typically these include magazines, vicious teddy bears, newspapers, car tyres, match sticks and coat hangers. Many of his installations are temporary and constructed in public spaces. Early life Mach was born in 1956 in Methil, Fife. Mach studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (now a school of University of Dundee), Dundee, Scotland from 1974, graduating in 1979, then at the Royal College of Art, London between 1979 and 1982. Following several shows and public installations, Mach was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1988. Andy Denzler
Andy Denzler (born 3 August 1965) is a Swiss artist. His distinctive technique of distorting the freshly applied surface of his paintings has shaped his entire oeuvre in painting, printmaking, sculpture and drawing. Life and works Denzler was born in Zurich. He trained at the Kunstgewerbeschule and the F+F Schule für Gestaltung in Zurich, both schools of applied arts, as well as at the University of California, Los Angeles, and the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena. In 2006 he graduated as Master of Fine Arts from London's Chelsea College of Art and Design. Denzler lives and works in Zurich. Nick Gentry
Nicholas James Gentry (born 29 May 1980) is a British artist from London. Much of his artistic output has been generated with the use of contributed artefacts and materials. He states that through this process "contributor, artist and viewer come closer together". His art is influenced by the development of consumerism, technology, identity and cyberculture in society, with a distinctive focus on obsolete media. Drawing on recycled and obsolete technological materials as the grounds for his paintings, London-based artist Nick Gentry creates a conversation between digital and analog processes. Juan Genovés
Juan Genovés Candel (31 May 1930 – 15 May 2020) was a Spanish painter whose work is considered to symbolise the defence of democracy during the Spanish transition. His work has been recognised domestically and internationally, forming part of museum collections and exhibitions across the world. He received the Honourable Mention at the 33rd Venice Biennale in 1966 and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, given by Spain's Ministry of Culture, in 2005.
