Opalnyi Prynz
Opalnyi Prynz ( uk, Опальний Принц) was an influential and popular Ukrainian folk-rock, Ukrainian rock band; the band which came out of musical project called Strus Mozku ( uk, Струс Мозку), or 'Brain Concussion', in English, which started in 1987 when Rostyslav Shtyn's younger brother Yuriy Shtyn relocated to Lviv, Ukraine after completing his studies at the conservatory in Rivne. The Strus Mozku project included the following individuals: both Shtyn brothers, Roman Brytsky, Boris Rosenthul and a young actress from the Zankovetska Theatre in Lviv, by the name of Lyudmila Razik. This project eventually morphed into ''Opalnyi Prynz'' with Yuriy Shtyn composing all of the material both musically and lyrically, singing and play keyboards, his older brother Rostyslav Shtyn, played guitar and provided vocals. Kombi (band)
Kombi is a Polish musical band from Poland, founded in 1969 in Gdańsk by Sławomir Łosowski. In the beginning, the group played mostly experimental, jazz music. In second half of the 1970s they turned into funk rock, later their style turned towards synth-pop. They used such musical equipment as Commodore 64 as a MIDI sequencer, Prophet 5, Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer, Simmons SDS-V electronic drum kit and Roland TR-808 drum machine. The band was known for its characteristic sound, based on state-of-the-art electronic instruments programmed (and often modified) by Łosowski, distinctive vocals and guitar playing by Skawiński and Tkaczyk's bass slapping style. Iron Curtain
The Iron Curtain was the political boundary dividing Europe into two separate areas from the end of World War II in 1945 until the end of the Cold War in 1991. The term symbolizes the efforts by the Soviet Union (USSR) to block itself and its satellite states from open contact with Western Bloc, the West, its allies and neutral states. On the east side of the Iron Curtain were the countries that were connected to or influenced by the Soviet Union, while on the west side were the countries that were NATO members, or connected to or influenced by the United States; or nominally neutral.
