Ontario Highway 34
King's Highway 34, commonly referred to as Highway 34, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. The route connects Highway 417 south of Vankleek Hill with Hawkesbury. It is long, traveling through a mostly rural portion of the lower Ottawa Valley near the Ontario–Quebec border. The highway formerly continued south of Highway 417 to Highway 2 in Lancaster. However, this section was decommissioned as a provincial highway and was subsequently redesignated as Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry County Road 34. Route description Highway 34 is short highway which today serves to connect the town of Hawkesbury with Highway 417. The route ends at Main Street, near the Ottawa River in downtown Hawkesbury. Ontario Highway 17
King's Highway 17, more commonly known as Highway 17, is a provincially maintained highway and the primary route of the Trans-Canada Highway through the Canadian province of Ontario. It begins at the Manitoba boundary, west of Kenora, and the main section ends where Highway 417 begins just west of Arnprior. A small disconnected signed section of the highway still remains within the Ottawa Region between County Road 29 and Grants Side Road. Long-Sault Bridge
The Long-Sault Bridge (french: Pont du Long-Sault) is a bridge connecting Hawkesbury, Ontario and Grenville, Quebec. It crosses the Ottawa River via Chenail Island. Carillon Generating Station
The Carillon generating station (in French: ''centrale de Carillon'') is a hydroelectric power station on the Ottawa River near Carillon, Quebec, Canada. Built between 1959 and 1964, it is managed and operated by Hydro-Québec. It is a run-of-river generating station with an installed capacity of , a head of , and a reservoir of . The dam spans the river between Carillon and Pointe-Fortune, Quebec. Upon completion, the dam raised the water level by over at Carillon and over at Grenville. This inundated the rapids of Long-Sault on the Ottawa River, transforming them into calm (deeper) water. Connecting Link
The Connecting Link program is a provincial subsidy provided to municipalities to assist with road construction, maintenance and repairs in the Canadian province of Ontario. Roads which are designated as ''connecting links'' form the portions of provincial highways through built-up communities which are not owned by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO). Connecting links are governed by several regulations, including section 144, subsection 31.1 of the Highway Traffic Act and section 21 of the Public Transportation and Highway Improvement Act. King's Highway 138, commonly referred to as Highway 138, is a provincially maintained highway in eastern Ontario, Canada.
