Onew
Lee Jin-ki (; Korean pronunciation: Help:IPA/Korean, [i.dʑin.ki]; born December 14, 1989), better known by his stage name Onew, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actor. Born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Onew was discovered at the 2006 SM Academy Casting and signed a contract with SM Entertainment the day after his audition. He debuted as the lead vocalist and leader of the South Korean boy band Shinee in May 2008, who went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea. As a singer, he has participated in the original soundtracks for various TV series and released collaborations with various artists. He made his solo debut on December 5, 2018, with the release of his first extended play, ''Voice (Onew EP), Voice'', five days before his Conscription in South Korea, military conscription on December 10, 2018. ''Dice'' is the second extended play by South Korean singer Onew. It was released on April 11, 2022, through SM Entertainment. It consists of six tracks, including the lead single Dice (Onew song), of the same name. Background and release Onew released his debut solo EP, ''Voice (Onew EP), Voice'', in 2018, after which he Conscription in South Korea, enlisted in the military. His second EP was initially scheduled for a September 2021 release, before eventually being confirmed for April 2022, three years and four months after ''Voice''. ''Flow'' is the third Korean-language extended play (EP) by South Korean singer Onew. It was released on September 3, 2024, through Griffin Entertainment. The EP contains six songs, including singles "All Day" and "Beat Drum". Background Onew's contract with his agency, SM Entertainment, expired in March 2024. He signed a new contract with Griffin Entertainment for his solo promotions. During an appearance on the music talk show ''The Seasons (TV program), The Seasons'', he said that he made the change because he felt he was getting too comfortable at SM and wanted to pursue new challenges. Shinee ( ; ; ; stylized as SHINee) is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group consists of four members: Onew, Key (entertainer), Key, Choi Min-ho, Minho, and Taemin.
