Onar Onarheim
Onar Selmer Onarheim (15 October 1910 – 2 April 1988) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in Kvinnherad. Onarheim served in the position of deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Hordaland, during the terms 1961–1965 and 1965–1969. From August to September 1963, he served as the Minister of Fisheries during the short-lived centre-right cabinet Lyng. Minister Of Fisheries (Norway)
The Minister of Fisheries is a councilor of state in the Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs (Norway). The incumbent minister is Bjørnar Skjæran of the Labour Party. The position was created 1 July 1946. Between 2004 and 2013 the minister held the name of Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs reflecting a broadening in responsibility for the ministry. When Solberg's Cabinet took office, the minister was again called Minister of Fisheries and did no longer have responsibilities for coastal affairs. The Lyng Cabinet governed Norway between 28 August 1963 and 25 September 1963. It was the first in 28 years not to be led by the Norwegian Labour Party. John Lyng
(22 August 1905 – 18 January 1978) was a Norwegian politician from the Conservative Party. He was the 24th prime minister of Norway from 28 August to 25 September 1963 in a coalition government consisting of the Conservative, Centre, Christian Democratic, and Liberal parties. It was the first government in 28 years that was not headed by the Labour Party. Early life Lyng was born in Trondheim to merchant Markus Hartman Lyng (1872–1938) and Martha Maria Helberg (1885–1959), and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1927. He studied in Oslo, Copenhagen, and Heidelberg in 1931. During his student years, Lyng was active in the leftist ''Mot Dag'' student grouping, and his time in Weimar Germany in the early 1930s gave him a strong dislike of totalitarian movements as Nazism was on the rise there. Stord
Stord is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sunnhordland. Stord is sometimes called "Norway in miniature" since it has such a variety of landscapes: coastline, fjords, forests, agricultural land, and mountain areas. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Leirvik, which is also the largest town in the municipality and the whole region of Sunnhordland. Leirvik was declared a town in 1997.
