Onanole
Onanole is a community the Municipality of Harrison Park in Manitoba, Canada, popular as a summer colony. Onanole is located in southwest Manitoba, at the south entrance to Riding Mountain National Park. It sits roughly due north of the city of Brandon, and east of the Saskatchewan border. The community was first recognized when a post office opened in 1928, with Neil W. Tracy as postmaster. The Municipality of Harrison Park is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Manitoba that incorporated on January 1, 2015 via the amalgamation of the RMs of Harrison and Park. It was formed as a requirement of ''The Municipal Amalgamations Act'', which required that municipalities with a population less than 1,000 amalgamate with one or more neighbouring municipalities by 2015. The Government of Manitoba initiated these amalgamations in order for municipalities to meet the 1997 minimum population requirement of 1,000 to incorporate a municipality. Riding Mountain National Park is a national park in Manitoba, Canada. The park is located within Treaty 2 Territory and sits atop the Manitoba Escarpment. Consisting of a protected area of , the forested parkland stands in sharp contrast to the surrounding prairie farmland.
