On Time (song)
"On Time" is a song written by Maurice Gibb and recorded by the Bee Gees; it was released on 14 January 1972 as the B-side of the single "My World (Bee Gees song), My World". Background It was recorded on 21 October 1971 in London, the day that they finished the song "Alive (Bee Gees song), Alive", which was included on their 1972 album ''To Whom It May Concern (Bee Gees album), To Whom It May Concern''. The swamp rocker "On Time" was one of Maurice's favourites, this being the first of three recordings he made of it. Maurice and guitarist Alan Kendall share a few tracks of acoustic and electric guitars, accompanied by Geoff Bridgford on drums and string arrangement by Bill Shepherd that should not fit in, but does. Maurice later described this number as his "Swamp pop, Swamp period". "On Time" was only available on vinyl until it was included in the 1990 box set ''Tales from the Brothers Gibb''. ''A Breed Apart'' is the soundtrack album for the film '' A Breed Apart'', composed and performed by Maurice Gibb. Majority of the record has been recorded in 1984, and the soundtrack was the last recording session at the Gold Star Studios in Los Angeles. Jimmie Haskell said years later that he was very impressed by Maurice's demos, especially his sensitive playing of the flute parts. Jimmie mixed the synthesizer flute into the finished recordings because he liked the sound. "Hold Her in Your Hand" was co-written with Maurice's brother Barry Gibb during the sessions for the Bee Gees' 1981 album, '' Living Eyes'', but wasn't realized until later. ''A Breed Apart'' is a 1984 American drama film directed by Philippe Mora. It stars Kathleen Turner, Rutger Hauer and Powers Boothe. Michael Hubert Bourne (24 September 1942 – 11 April 2025), known professionally as Mike Berry, was an English singer and actor, known for the top ten hits "Don't You Think It's Time" (1963) and " The Sunshine of Your Smile" (1980) and for portraying Mr. Spooner in ''Are You Being Served?'' Alan Kendall
Alan Kendall (born 9 September 1944) is an English musician and was the lead guitarist for the Bee Gees, in an unofficial capacity from 1971 until 1980, and again from 1987 until 2001. Career His first recording was " Don't Play That Song (You Lied)", a single with a Lancashire band called Kris Ryan and the Questions, Kendall on lead guitar. His next known appearances were with Glass Menagerie. In 1970, he joined the bluesy progressive rock band Toe Fat who had released one album called ''Toe Fat''.
