Omarion
Omari Ishmael Grandberry (born November 12, 1984), better known by his stage name Omarion, is an American R&B singer, dancer and actor. He rose to prominence as lead vocalist of the boy band B2K, which was formed in 1998 and managed by record executive Chris Stokes. The group achieved success in the early 2000s with their singles " Gots ta Be", " Uh Huh", " Girlfriend", and the ''Billboard'' Hot 100-number one hit " Bump, Bump, Bump" (featuring P. Diddy). After the group's 2004 disbandment, Omarion promptly embarked on a solo career. He signed with Epic Records to release his first two studio albums, '' O'' (2005) and '' 21'' (2006), both of which debuted atop the ''Billboard'' 200. ''21'' is the second studio album by American R&B singer Omarion. It was released on December 26, 2006, by Epic Records and Sony Urban Music. The album was produced by Timbaland, The Neptunes, Eric Hudson and Bryan-Michael Cox and saw Omarion co-write every song on the album. The album's title was inspired from when Omarion turned 21 years old months before the album's release. The album spawned two singles: " Entourage" and "Ice Box". Exclusively at Walmart, ''21'' was packaged with a bonus DVD titled ''BET Presents Omarion'' (2006). The DVD features BET and performance highlights, and music videos from Omarion's solo career. ''21'' also received mildly positive reviews from critics, who saw it as an improvement over his debut record '' O'' (2005). The album serves as the follow-up to his third album, '' Ollusion'' (2010). Background In November 2014, Omarion released the track listing and release date for the album. This album is his first full-length release from Maybach Music Group. He later released the album cover artwork which features Apryl Jones, Omarion's girlfriend, straddling him. Omarion described the album as more mature and concept driven then his previous releases. ''Ollusion'' is the third studio album by American R&B singer Omarion. It was released on January 12, 2010, by MusicWorks and his own label StarrWorld Entertainment through EMI Label Services. The album sold 21,200 copies its first week of sales. Background In early 2009, after two albums releases with Sony Urban Music, Omarion asked for a release from Epic Records. Timbaland was originally set to produce and release his next project under his Interscope Records-distributed Mosley Music Group, but hardly found any time to get involved in the creative process. In mid August, he was announced to have joined the roster of rapper Lil Wayne's record label Young Money Entertainment.
