The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MoHESRI) is the governmental body in the Sultanate of Oman responsible for supervising high education institutes and the development of high education policies in the Sultanate. National Emblem Of Oman
The national emblem of Oman () is Khanjar Wa Sayfain (Khanjar (dagger) and two swords), an insignia consisting of a ''Khanjar'' inside its Scabbard, sheath that is superimposed upon two crossed swords. Adopted in the 18th century as the badge of the House of Al Said, Omani royal family, it subsequently became the national emblem of the Sultanate of Oman. The emblem is featured at the Canton (flag), canton on the Flag of Oman. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi is the Omani Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. She was appointed as minister on 18 August 2020. The ''Official Gazette'' ( ') is a weekly publication issued by the Ministry of Legal Affairs in pursuance of the Law of the Official Gazette issued by Royal Decree 84/2011. History The Official Gazette was first established by Law No. 3/72 which stipulated the release of the Official Gazette on Thursday of every week. This law was later repealed by Law No. 4/73 which stipulated the release of the Official Gazette on bi-weekly basis. The 72 law was consequently repealed by Royal Decree 84/2011 which issued the new Law of the Official Gazette which stipulated that the Official Gazette is to be published on the first working day of every week as long as there is proper content for the Gazette to publish.
