Olympian-Packerland Conference
The Olympian-Packerland Conference is a former high school football conference with its membership base in northeastern Wisconsin. It was in existence from 2007 through the 2014 football season, and the conference was affiliated with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. History In 2007, two previously established high school athletic conferences in northeastern Wisconsin, the Olympian and Packerland Conferences, joined forces to create a new football-only conference. All members with the exception of Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Green Bay (who did not sponsor football at that time) participated, and the conference was partitioned into divisions for large and small schools: Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran joined the conference in 2010 when it started a football program and was immediately placed in the small schools division. Sturgeon Bay High School
Sturgeon Bay High School is a public high school located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. It is part of the Sturgeon Bay School District. Athletics Sturgeon Bay's athletic teams are known as the Clippers, and compete primarily in the Packerland Conference of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association. Fish Creek, Wisconsin
Fish Creek is an unincorporated community located in Door County, Wisconsin, United States, within the town of Gibraltar. It is located on Highway 42 along Green Bay. History Fish Creek sits on the site of a Menominee and Ojibwa village known as Ma-go-she-kah-ning, or "trout fishing". The first settler of Fish Creek was Increase Claflin and his family circa 1844, but the village founder is considered to be entrepreneur Asa Thorp. Loggers and fishermen started settling in Fish Creek in 1853. Thorp owned much of the area's land by that year, and built Fish Creek's first dock in 1855. The first post office began in 1866 in the kitchen of John Brown's home. Gibraltar Secondary School is a public school in the unincorporated community of Fish Creek, Town of Gibraltar, Door County, Wisconsin, United States. Chilton, Wisconsin
Chilton is a city in and county seat of Calumet County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 3,720 as of 2024. The city is partially within the Town of Chilton. History The first residents of Chilton were African-American former slave Moses Stanton and his Native-American wife, Catherine, who arrived in January 1845. The city formed around his saw mill and a grist mill a few years later. The village was originally called Stantonville. John Marygold bought the place in 1852 and, according to legend, called it "Chilington," referring to Chillington Hall in England. Eight-man football is a form of gridiron football, generally played by high schools with smaller enrollments. Eight-man football differs from the traditional 11-man game with the reduction of three players on each side of the ball and a field width that can be reduced to 40 yards, 13 1/3 yards narrower than the 53 1/3-yard 11-man field. Most states continue to play on a field 100 yards long, whereas a few states opt for 80-yard lengths. Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran High School
Northeastern Wisconsin Lutheran High School (abbreviated NEWLHS) is a Lutheran high school in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This school is part of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. NEW Lutheran has an enrollment of approximately 130 students. The school's history dates back to as early as 1975 when two parties had interest in starting a Lutheran High School within Green Bay. A survey was done within the LCMS churches in Brown County that showed great interest for a school. A meeting was held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church to form a committee that helped establish the school. In 1977, the schools inaugural year included 34 students.
