Oliver Sarkic
Oliver Sarkic ( cnr, Оливер Шаркић, Oliver Šarkić; born 23 July 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Dečić. Born in England, he represented Montenegro at youth level. He came through the academies of Anderlecht and Benfica. He has also played for Fafe, Leeds United, Barakaldo, Burton Albion, Mansfield Town, Blackpool and Pakhtakor Tashkent. Club career Early career On 1 September 2014, Sarkic joined Portuguese champions Benfica from Belgian club Anderlecht, being assigned to their youth team. He debuted professionally for Benfica B in a 3–2 win over Porto B in Segunda Liga, on 11 January 2015. On 14 February 2015, he scored twice in a 4–1 home win against Oliveirense. The Liga Portugal (Portugal League), also known by its acronym LPFP, is a governing body that manages professional football club competitions in Portugal. It was founded in 1978 as Liga Portuguesa dos Clubes de Futebol Profissional and works as an autonomous organism under the authority of the Portuguese Football Federation. In 1991, it changed its name to Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Professional and in the year 2020, changed the name into the current one. Glentoran Football Club is a professional football club that plays in the NIFL Premiership. The club was founded in 1882. History Early history In 1914, Glentoran won the Vienna Cup, becoming the first United Kingdom team to win a European trophy, although as this competition took place several decades before the formation of UEFA, it is not recognised as such. 1960s George Best watched Glentoran with his grandfather as a youth, but was rejected by the club for being "too small and light".
