Oliver Fuchs (born 16 March 1971) is an Austrian former professional tennis player. Born in Bruck an der Mur, Fuchs reached a career high ranking of 217 on the professional tour. Bruck An Der Mur
Bruck an der Mur is a city of some 13,500 people located in the district Bruck-Mürzzuschlag, in the Austrian state of Styria. It is located at the confluence of the Mur and Mürz Rivers. Its manufacturing includes metal products and paper. Bruck is located on the Graz to Vienna main line, and is an important regional rail junction. History The earliest surviving record of Bruck dates from the time of King Ludovicus II "Germanicus", when it was identified, in a record dated 20 November 860, as "ad pruccam", a manor of the archbishopric of Salzburg. The settlement then identified with this name was in the location currently occupied by the suburb now called "St. Ruprecht". Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Jonathan Canter
Jonathan Canter (born June 4, 1965) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Early years Canter was born in Los Angeles, where his father, Stanley S. Canter, worked as a film producer. His father, who was also manager of Jimmy Connors for a time, produced films such as '' Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes'', '' Tarzan and the Lost City'' and ''Hornets' Nest'', which he also wrote. He won the boys 16 and under singles in the 1979 Ojai Tennis Tournament. The promising junior made the quarterfinals of the 1981 US Open and the following year, he reached further quarterfinals at the US Open and French Open. His best performances however came in the doubles. With countryman Michael Kures as his partner, Canter won the boys' doubles title at the 1982 US Open, beating Australians Pat Cash and John Frawley in the final. The World Team Cup was the international men's team championship of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). The inaugural edition of the tournament was contested in 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica and was called the Nations Cup. No tournament was held in 1976 and 1977. From 1978 through 2012 the tournament was held annually in Düsseldorf, Germany. It was generally considered to be second most prestigious men's team competition in tennis after the Davis Cup. Every year, the eight nations whose top two male players have achieved the highest combined placings in the men's world rankings at the end of the previous year were invited to compete for the cup.
