Oleg Vikulov
Oleg Aleksandrovich Vikulov (; born January 24, 1987, in Penza) is a Russian platform diver. He won a gold medal, along with his partner Konstantin Khanbekov, for the men's synchronized platform at the 2008 FINA Diving World Cup series in Tijuana, Mexico, in addition to their silver in Nanjing, China, and a fourth-place finish in Sheffield, England. He also captured two medals (gold and bronze) in the individual and synchronized platform at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand. Vikulov represented Russia at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where he competed for the men's platform event, along with his teammate Gleb Galperin (who eventually won the bronze medal in the final). Bryan Nickson Lomas
Bryan Nickson Lomas (born 30 June 1990 in Kuching, Sarawak) is a former Malaysian diver. Lomas was the youngest Malaysian athlete to qualify for 2004 Summer Olympics when he was 14. He became the country's first world junior diving champion after winning gold at the 3 m springboard event in the World Junior Championships held at Belém, Brazil in 2004. He trained under the coaching of Yang Zhuliang. Lomas is named after the footballer Bryan Robson by his father. In September 2023, he was appointed as Malaysia Swimming Federation (MAS) technical director. Diving At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Men's 10 Metre Platform
Men's 10 metre platform competition at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics was held from August 22 to August 23, at the Beijing National Aquatics Center. It was an individual diving competition, with dives performed from an inflexible platform, unlike the springboard used for three metre diving, ten metres above the surface of the water. The individual diving competitions all consist of three rounds. In the first, the 30 divers each perform six dives. The top 18 divers advance to the semifinals. Each diver again performs six dives, and the top 12 divers from among those dives advance to the finals. Preliminary scores are ignored at this point, as only the semifinal scores are considered in advancement.
