Oleg Pungin
Mumiy Troll ( ) is a Russian rock group, founded in 1983 in Vladivostok by vocalist and songwriter Ilya Lagutenko (). The name is a pun on '' Mumintroll'', the children's books by Tove Jansson, translated into Russian as "Mummi Troll". Career Ilya Lagutenko founded Mumiy Troll in Vladivostok on 16 October 1983. In 1985, the group recorded their first album, ''Novaya luna aprelya'', which was distributed as '' magnitizdat''. Mumiy Troll disbanded when Lagutenko was conscripted into the Russian navy. In 1990, they briefly reunited and released their second album, ''Delay Yu-Yu'', on tape. Having studied Chinese and English at the Oriental Studies Institute of the Far Eastern Federal University, Lagutenko worked in China and London from 1991 to 1995. In 1995, he returned to Russia and reformed the band. In May 1997, Mumiy Troll released their first studio album, ''Morskaya'' (), which brought them wide popularity. Park Live Festival
Park Live () is an annual international music festival, which takes place in Moscow, Russia. The main point of festival is to bring "pop-culture heroes of our time" to Russia. 2013 The first festival was held at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre for three days from June 28 to 30. The event was headlined by Limp Bizkit, The Killers, and Zemfira. In addition, on the night of June 29–30, Park Live Night was held at the Chemical Stage, located in the pavilion of VDNKh No. 20 "Chemical Industry" from 23 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day. The festival attracted around twenty-five to thirty thousand visitors. 2014 Moscow The 2014 festival was held at All-Russia Exhibition Centre for three days from the June 27 to 29. ''Magnitizdat'' () was the process of copying and distributing audio tape recordings that were not commercially available in the Soviet Union. It is analogous to ''samizdat'', the method of disseminating written works that could not be officially published under Soviet political censorship. It is technically similar to bootleg recordings, except it has a political dimension not usually present in the latter term. Terminology The term ''magnitizdat'' comes from the Russian words ''magnitofon'' () and ''izdatel’stvo'' (). Technology Magnetic tape recorders were rare in the Soviet Union before the 1960s. Tove Jansson
Tove Marika Jansson (; 9 August 1914 – 27 June 2001) was a Swedish-speaking Finnish author, novelist, painter, illustrator and comic strip author. Brought up by artistic parents, Jansson studied art from 1930 to 1938 in Helsinki, Stockholm, and Paris. She held her first solo art exhibition in 1943. Over the same period, she penned short stories and articles for publication, and subsequently drew illustrations for book covers, advertisements, and postcards. She continued her work as an artist and writer for the rest of her life. Jansson wrote the '' Moomin'' novel series for children, starting with the 1945 ''The Moomins and the Great Flood''. Moomins
The Moomins (, ) are the central characters in a series of novels, short stories, picture books, and a comic strip by the Finnish writer and illustrator Tove Jansson, originally published in Swedish by Finnish publisher Schildts. They are a family of white, round fairy-tale characters with large snouts that make them resemble the hippopotamus. However, despite this resemblance, the Moomin family are trolls who live in a house in Moominvalley. Between 1945 and 1993, nine books were released in the series, together with five picture books and a comic strip.
