Ole Bornedal
Ole Bornedal (born 26 May 1959) is a Denmark, Danish film director, actor and Film producer, producer. Bornedal was born in Nørresundby, Denmark. He wrote and directed ''Nattevagten'' (''Nightwatch'', 1994), a thriller about a law student who works in a morgue as a night-watchman, and becomes implicated in a series of murders of prostitutes. He also directed an English language remake (''Nightwatch (1997 film), Nightwatch'') in 1997, starring Ewan McGregor, Nick Nolte and Patricia Arquette. In 2002, he directed ''I Am Dina''. Other Danish films include ''The Substitute (2007 film), The Substitute'' (2007), ''Just Another Love Story'' (2007), and ''Deliver Us from Evil''. He directed the English-language film ''The Possession'' (2012) and was one of the producers of the horror film ''Mimic (film), Mimic''. Nørresundby
Nørresundby () is a city in Aalborg Municipality, north of Limfjorden, in Vendsyssel, in Denmark. The urban area has a population of 24,436 (1 January 2025). It is located just north of Aalborg, which lies south of Limfjorden. Statistically its own urban area since 2006, it is often still considered part of Aalborg; sometimes the name Greater Aalborg (''Stor-Aalborg'') is used to describe the concept. The city is connected to Aalborg by the Limfjordsbroen road bridge, and an iron railway bridge, as well as a motorway (E45) passing it to the east and running under the Limfjord. Nørresundby is the site of the Lindholm Høje settlement and burial ground from the Germanic Iron Age and Viking times. There is also a museum on the site. The Possession
''The Possession'' is a 2012 American supernatural horror film directed by Ole Bornedal, written by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White, and produced by Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert, and J. R. Young. It stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Kyra Sedgwick, Natasha Calis, Grant Show, Madison Davenport, and Matisyahu. The story, based on the 2004 ''Los Angeles Times'' article "A Jinx in a Box?" by Leslie Gornstein, is about the allegedly haunted dybbuk box. The film was shot in 2011. The Second Schleswig War (; or German Danish War), also sometimes known as the Dano-Prussian War or Prusso-Danish War, was the second military conflict over the Schleswig–Holstein question of the nineteenth century. The war began on 1 February 1864, when Prussian and Austrian forces crossed the border into the Danish fief Schleswig.
