Oldřich Kaiser
Oldřich Kaiser (born 16 May 1955) is a Czech television, film, and stage actor known mostly for his comedic roles. Education and career Kaiser graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in 1978. He began his acting career with theatre performances, working at ''Studio Ypsilon'' in Liberec and later at the National Theatre in Prague. He made his screen debut in Karel Kachyňa's 1973 film '' Láska''. Together with Jiří Lábus, he formed the comedy duo "Kaiser a Lábus", which took part in such television comedy shows as ''Možná přijde i kouzelník'' (1982) and '' Ruská ruleta'' (1994). Personal life and trivia Between 1980 and 2005, Kaiser was married to Czech actress Naďa Konvalinková, with whom he has a daughter, actress Karolína Kaiserová. In 2020, he married singer Dáša Vokatá. ''Hospital at the End of the City'' ( cs, Nemocnice na kraji města) is a Czechoslovak television series first released in 1978 by Czechoslovak Television. It featured an ensemble cast and received much viewer praise in Central Europe. The series, with a screenplay by Jaroslav Dietl and directed by Jaroslav Dudek, ran from 1978 to 1981 for a total of twenty episodes. Plot The film follows the young boy Eda Souček and his extended family during World War II. The family has to move to his family's home in the countryside home because Eda's father refuses to Heil in his job. Eda makes new friends and gets used to life in village. Edvard Beneš
Edvard Beneš (; 28 May 1884 – 3 September 1948) was a Czech politician and statesman who served as the president of Czechoslovakia from 1935 to 1938, and again from 1945 to 1948. He also led the Czechoslovak government-in-exile 1939 to 1945 during World War II. As president, Beneš faced two major crises, which both resulted in his resignation. His first resignation came after the Munich Agreement and subsequent German occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938, which brought his government into exile in the United Kingdom. The second came about with the 1948 Communist coup, which created the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic. ''Kooky'' ( cs, Kuky se vrací, literally "Kuky returns", a pun on '' Lassie se vrací'') is a 2010 Czech action comedy film directed by Jan Svěrák. The film combines techniques of puppet animation, stop motion and live action. It tells the story of a six-year-old asthmatic boy whose parents throw his favorite toy away, an old teddy bear named Kooky. The boy, however, secretly sneaks out of the house at night (without his boots and being dressed only in his pajamas), to retrieve Kooky from the garbage can and bring him back home.
