Old Northern Boulevard (commonly referred to as Old Northern) is a major, road in Nassau County, New York, Nassau County, on Long Island, New York. It is a bypassed section of Northern Boulevard, Northern Boulevard (NY 25A) between Middle Neck Road (Flower Hill, New York), Middle Neck Road in Flower Hill, New York, Flower Hill & The Locusts in Roslyn Estates, New York, Roslyn Estates, east through Roslyn, New York, Roslyn, with NY 25A being the termini for both ends of the road. Flower Hill is a village in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. The eastern half is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, which is anchored by the Incorporated Village of Roslyn. Western and northern parts are more closely associated with Manhasset and Port Washington. The population was 4,794 at the 2020 census. Roslyn Village Historic District
The Roslyn Village Historic District encompasses the center of that village in the U.S. state of New York. It includes within its boundaries the earlier Main Street Historic District, although that is considered a separate district by the National Park Service, which added the Roslyn Village district to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. Distinct from the Main Street district, the newer one includes more commercial property along Old Northern Boulevard, which makes a loop through downtown Roslyn off North Hempstead Turnpike (NY 25A), the main through road along Long Island's North Shore. Roslyn National Bank And Trust Company Building
Roslyn National Bank and Trust Company Building is a historic commercial building located at Roslyn in Nassau County, New York. It was designed by architect William Tubby (1858 - 1944) and built in 1931. Roslyn Grist Mill
The Roslyn Grist Mill is located along Old Northern Boulevard in Roslyn, New York, United States. It was built sometime before the mid-18th century and is one of the few surviving Dutch colonial commercial frame buildings in the U.S. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, it is currently being restored for use as a museum. Building The -story rectangular mill is long by wide. The original timber framing, which uses a series of transverse post and beam bents connected by sills and wall plates, differing from the traditional European grid pattern, is now covered in weatherboard. The office of Superintendent of Public Works was created by an 1876 amendment to the New York State Constitution. North Hempstead, New York
North Hempstead is one of three towns in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 237,639 at the 2020 census. History The area was first settled by Europeans around 1643 and became part of the town of Hempstead.
