''Old Hutch'' is a 1936 American romantic comedy film directed by J. Walter Ruben and starring Wallace Beery as a man who finds $100,000 in the depths of the Depression. Harry Rapf
Harry Rapf (16 October 1880 in New York City – 6 February 1949 in Los Angeles), was an American film producer. Biography Born to a Jewish family, Rapf began his career in 1917, and during a 20-year career became a well-known producer of films for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. He created the comedy team of Karl Dane and George K. Arthur in the late 1920s. Rapf was also one of the founding members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He had two sons: screenwriter and professor of film studies Maurice Rapf and film/television producer and screenwriter Matthew Rapf. Producer Harry Rapf began his career in the late 1910s, investing in motion-picture productions and earning a "Harry Rapf presents" credit. He then became a producer for the Lewis J. Donald Meek
Thomas Donald Meek (14 July 1878 – 18 November 1946) was a Scottish-American actor. He first performed publicly at the age of eight and began appearing on Broadway in 1903. Meek appeared in the films '' You Can't Take It with You'' (1938) and ''Stagecoach'' (1939). He posthumously received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. Early years Meek was born in Glasgow to Matthew and Annie Meek. In the 1890s, the Meek family emigrated to Canada and then to the United States. By 1900, they were living in Philadelphia, where Meek was employed as a dry goods salesman, according to the United States census of that year.
