Old Georgians Sports Club
The Old Georgians Sports Club is a sports club Harare. Its facilities include a cricket ground. The cricket ground played host to one first-class cricket match in October 1992, when Zimbabwe B played the touring New Zealanders, which saw the New Zealanders Dipak Patel (5 for 54) and Simon Doull (6 for 37) taking five wicket hauls, and Mark Greatbatch scoring a century. In the same month the ground hosted its first List A one-day match when the Zimbabwe Cricket Union President's XI played the touring Indians, who were touring Zimbabwe to take part in the Zimbabwe's first Test series. The ground later held two one-day matches in the 2000 ICC Emerging Nations Tournament, with the Netherlands playing Ireland and Kenya, though the match against Ireland was called off due to a poor outfield and uneven pitch. Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the Capital city, capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. Wesley Madhevere
Wesley Nyasha Madhevere (born 4 September 2000) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in March 2020. Career Madhevere made his List A debut on 8 February 2020, for Mashonaland Eagles in the 2019–20 Pro50 Championship. Prior to his List A debut, he was named as the vice-captain of Zimbabwe's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Ravi Shastri
Ravishankar Jayadritha Shastri (born 27 May 1962) is the former head coach of the India national cricket team, a cricket commentator and former captain of Indian Cricket Team. As a player, he played for the India national cricket team between 1981 and 1992 in both Test matches and One Day Internationals. Although he started his career as a left arm spin bowler, he later transformed into a batting all-rounder. As a cricketer, Shastri was essentially defensive with his trademark "chapati shot" (a flick off the pads), but he could raise his strike rate when required. Due to his above-average height (he stood 6' 3" tall) and an upright stance, he had a limited number of shots against fast bowling, but was able to put the lofted shot to good use against spin bowling. 2019–20 Pro50 Championship
The 2019–20 Pro50 Championship was the eighteenth edition of the Pro50 Championship, a List A cricket tournament that was played in Zimbabwe. It started on 4 February 2020, with five teams taking part. Mashonaland Eagles were the defending champions. On 18 March 2020, Zimbabwe Cricket suspended all forms of cricket in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 4 May 2020, Zimbabwe Cricket voided the tournament due to the pandemic with no winner being declared. Kenya National Cricket Team
The Kenya national cricket team represents the Republic of Kenya in international cricket. Kenya is an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) which has Twenty20 International (T20I) status after the ICC granted T20I status to all of their members. They have been an ICC members, associate member of the ICC since 1981. Since then they have played in five Cricket World Cups from 1996 to 2011 with their best result being a semi-final appearance at the 2003 Cricket World Cup in Southern Africa. The ICC 6 Nations Challenge was a cricket tournament played every two years between 2000 and 2004. It was a tournament involving the best associate members of the International Cricket Council, who were joined in the first two tournaments by A teams from Zimbabwe (2000+2002) and Sri Lanka (2002 only). Indian Cricket Team In Zimbabwe In 1992–93
The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe between 15 and 25 October 1992. The series was played as a prelude for India's tour of South Africa, and included just one Test match and one One Day International (ODI). The tour began with a 50-over warm-up match, which the touring Indians won by 16 runs over the "Zimbabwe Cricket Union President's XI". ''Wisden Cricketers' Almanack'' criticised the "lifeless pitch" in the Test match, saying "both owlingattacks were rendered innocuous". Zimbabwe's captain, David Houghton top-scored for his side in their first innings, scoring the country's maiden Test century of 121.
