"Old Country Soul" is a song co-written and recorded by Canadian country music, country duo The Reklaws. The song was co-written by the duo with Dakota Jay, William King, and Travis Wood. It was the fifth single off their debut studio album ''Freshman Year (album), Freshman Year''. Critical reception Taryn McElheran of ''Canadian Beats Media'' highlighted the presence of both Walker siblings vocals adding that the song "mixes both new and old country sound creating a new and catchy tune". Commercial performance "Old Country Soul" reached peaks of #4 on the Billboard (magazine), Billboard Canada Country chart, and #87 on the Canadian Hot 100, both for the week of February 8, 2020. The Reklaws
The Reklaws are a Canadian country music duo from North Dumfries, Ontario, formed in 2012. The duo consists of siblings Stuart and Jenna Walker. They have released three albums, ''Freshman Year'', ''Sophomore Slump'', and ''Good Ol' Days''. The duo has achieved three Number One hits with " Feels Like That", " Can’t Help Myself", and "11 Beers" on the Canada Country chart, in addition to multiple gold and platinum certified singles. Mandolin
A mandolin ( it, mandolino ; literally "small mandola") is a stringed musical instrument in the lute family and is generally plucked with a pick. It most commonly has four courses of doubled strings tuned in unison, thus giving a total of 8 strings, although five (10 strings) and six (12 strings) course versions also exist. Dobro is an American brand of resonator guitars, currently owned by Gibson and manufactured by its subsidiary Epiphone.
