Ola Teigen
Ola Teigen (11 February 1937 – 28 July 1970) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Ankenes. He served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Nordland during the term 1965–1969. On the local level he was a member of Oslo city council during the term 1963–1967. From 1964 to 1969 he was the leader of the Workers' Youth League, the youth wing of the Labour Party. Norwegian Labour Party
The Labour Party ( nb, Arbeiderpartiet; nn, Arbeidarpartiet; A/Ap; se, Bargiidbellodat), formerly The Norwegian Labour Party ( no, Det norske Arbeiderparti, DNA), is a social-democratic political party in Norway. It is positioned on the centre-left of the political spectrum, and is led by Jonas Gahr Støre. Ankenes
Ankenes is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1884 until 1974. It encompassed most of the present-day Narvik Municipality, surrounding of the town of Narvik which was once its own municipality. The administrative centre of Ankenes was the village of Ankenesstrand, situated along the west side of the Beisfjorden, where the Ankenes Church is located. Today, the name Ankenes is often used to refer to the suburban Ankenesstrand area, just outside the town of Narvik. The European route E6 highway is the main thoroughfare through Ankenes and it follows the shoreline of the Ofotfjorden and Beisfjorden and it then crosses the fjord over the long Beisfjord Bridge where it then reaches the town of Narvik. Reiulf Steen
Reiulf Steen (16 August 1933 – 5 June 2014) was a Norwegian author, ambassador and politician with the Norwegian Labour Party. He was active in the Labour Party from 1958 to 1990, serving as deputy party chairman from 1965 to 1975 and chairman from 1975 to 1981. Steen served as Norwegian ambassador to Chile between 1992 and 1996. Biography He was born at Hurum in Buskerud, Norway. His parents were Nils Steen (1889-1941) and Astrid Karlsen (1899-1986). The father, who died when Reiulf was 7 years old, had been president of the Norwegian Chemical Industry Workers' Union and deputy mayor of the municipality. Steen was elected leader of the regional Labour Party affiliate at age 14. He had worked in a factory and as a journalist for the newspaper '' Fremtiden'' in Drammen before entering politics in 1958. Suicide is the act of intentionally causing one's own death. Mental disorders (including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, anxiety disorders), physical disorders (such as chronic fatigue syndrome), and substance abuse (including alcoholism and the use of and withdrawal from benzodiazepines) are risk factors.
