Ola Brunkert
Ola Brunkert (15 September 1946 – 16 March 2008) was a Swedish drummer who was one of the main session drummers for the pop group ABBA. Brunkert and bassist Rutger Gunnarsson are the only two side musicians to appear on every ABBA album prior to '' Voyage'' (2021). Born in Örebro, Sweden, Brunkert began playing the drums in 1958 and cited jazz drummer Gene Krupa as a significant early influence. He played with Slim's Blues Gang, before joining the pop group Science Poption. He then formed the jazz-rock combo with the guitarist Janne Schaffer, and by 1970 had become one of the most sought-after session drummers in Stockholm. He was not among the four members of ABBA whose faces adorned the album covers, but was a key supporting musician for the group as it achieved stardom. Brunkert played on the group's first single " People Need Love", their Eurovision hit " Waterloo", and consistently on a great many of their recordings throughout the 1970s. Artà () is one of the 53 independent municipalities on the Spain, Spanish Balearic Islands, Balearic island of Majorca. Jazz
Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Brighton
Brighton ( ) is a seaside resort in the city status in the United Kingdom, city of Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, England, south of London. "One of Us" is a song by Swedish pop group ABBA. It was released in December 1981 by Polar Music as the lead single from the band's eighth studio album, '' The Visitors'' (1981). "Waterloo" is a song recorded by Swedish pop group ABBA, with music composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and lyrics written by Stig Anderson, Stikkan Anderson. It is first single of the group's second Waterloo (album), album of the same name, and their first under the Atlantic Records, Atlantic label in the United States. "People Need Love" is the debut single recorded in March 1972 by Swedish pop group ABBA, at the time known as Björn & Benny, Agnetha & Anni-Frid. The song was on the group's first album, '' Ring Ring'', released in 1973. "People Need Love" first charted in Sweden at number 20 in late July 1972, then in August it peaked at number 17 for two weeks on the '' Kvällstoppen'' chart, staying on the chart for four weeks in total.
