Oklahoma Energy Resources Board
The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (abbreviated OERB) is an agency of the state of Oklahoma. Funded voluntarily by Oklahoma's oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners, the OERB conducts environmental restoration of orphaned and abandoned well sites, encourages the wise and efficient use of energy, and promotes energy education. Unique is the OERB's funding process – though it is funded by a 0.1% assessment on oil and gas sales (not uncommon among similar agencies), it is a ''voluntary'' assessment. Any producer or royalty owner may opt out of the program by requesting OERB (between January 1 and March 31 of each year) for a refund of previously paid assessments. The OERB states that over 95% of participants remain in the program. Ontario Educational Resource Bank
The Ontario Educational Resource Bank (OERB) is a learning object repository (LOR) that has been available since December, 2006. It contains resources that match the kindergarten - grade 12 curriculum expectations. Students and teachers can search for content within it. Teachers can also contribute resources that they have created so that other teachers and students can make use of them. The LOR holds a range of different types of resources such as worksheets, lesson plans and interactive Flash and Authorware learning objects. There are also deconstructed units and activities from the Secondary level courses in the provincial Learning Management System. Environmental restoration is closely allied with (or perhaps sometimes used interchangeably with) ecological restoration or environmental remediation. David Walters
David Lee Walters (born November 20, 1951) is an American politician who was the 24th governor of Oklahoma from 1991 to 1995. Born in Canute, Oklahoma, Walters was a project manager for Governor David Boren and the youngest executive officer working for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
